      New Honda Jazz launches this year, Revised Accord debuts in 2016

      It has been a well known fact that Japanese carmaker brand Honda has held a soft corner among Indians across the globe. As per a fresh update from the company, Honda plans on launching its much awaited all-new Jazz hatchback sometime by July this year, whereas the luxury sedan may be delayed to sometime in 2016. The company has reportedly already begun the protype production of the hatchback here and is likely to emerge as a strong contender against hotsellers like Hyundai Elite i20, Maruti Suzuki Swift and the VW Polo.

      The Jazz hatchback is likely to be lucratively priced as the vehicle is built with 90% local content. The hatchback shall be powered by 1.2 liter petrol engine that is capable of delivering about 87 BHP of power with about 109 NM of torque. As a fresh upgrade, the hatchback is also available in diesel trim that shall be powered by 1.5 Liter i-DTEC engine that is capable of generating about 99 BHP of power with about 200 NM of torque. Both the trims shall come mated with 5 speed manual transmission.

      The much loved Honda Accord which was discontinued last year shall also come with a diesel engine this time around. As per sources the luxury sedan shall be launched sometime next year. Pricing details and technical specifications for the Accord may only be known at a later date. As for pricing aspect of Jazz it is anticipated to be priced under Rs. 6.0 lakhs
