Mere Dad Ki Maruti, the new Bollywood movie made by Yash Raj Studios, is awaiting its release on March 15, 2013 in the country. The movie caught the attention of Indian automobile media, because of a picture of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga model on its poster. Mere Dad Ki Maruti has been directed by Ashima Chibber and produced by Ashish Patil.
The laughing spectacle stars the young actor Saqib Saleem, male lead of the hit movie- 'Mujhse Fraandship Karoge' and Ram Kapoor, the popular small screen actor of daily soap- 'Bade Achhe Lagte Hain' as the second lead. The yet-to-be released movie also features newcomer Rhea Chakraborty as the female lead. Further, the laugh riot also has Ravi Kishan and Prabal Panjabi in prominent roles.
Mere Dad Ki Maruti is an out-and-out comedy flick set against the backdrop of a big fat Punjabi wedding in Chandigarh. The storyline goes this way- a young college going boy (Saqib Saleem) sneaks his father's (Ram Kapoor) brand new car (Maruti Suzuki Ertiga), in order to impress his new flame (Rhea Chakraborty), who plays the role of a girl next door. All hell breaks loose in the comic riot when Sameer loses his dad's favourite Ertiga.
The hype behind Mere Dad Ki Maruti film is gaining momentum among domestic audience, as it gets closer to its launch in the country. Apparently, Maruti Suzuki is getting some free publicity from the movie which is boosting young outlook of the country's largest passenger car maker.
