Maruti Suzuki launched the new 2022 Ertiga in India with a choice of four petrol and two CNG variants. Now, the carmaker is reportedly planning to introduce two new CNG variants — VXi (O) and ZXi (O).
The Ertiga petrol is available in LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+ trims, whereas the Ertiga CNG comes in two trims: VXi and ZXi. In addition to the existing variants, Maruti Suzuki is expected to introduce the new VXi (O) and ZXi (O) variants with more features.
The Ertiga gets a 1.5-litre, inline, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated, Dual Jet, Dual VVT petrol-hybrid motor producing 102bhp and 136.8Nm of torque. It is coupled to either a five-speed manual or the new six-speed automatic transmission.
Regarding the exterior, the new Ertiga features a handful of cosmetic changes, while on the inside, the dashboard comes with a new metallic teak-wooden finish and dual-tone fabric seat covers. In addition, Maruti Suzuki has bestowed it with an upgraded seven-inch SmartPlay Pro infotainment touchscreen, paddle shifters, four airbags, auto headlamps, ESP, HHA, and cruise control.
