      Maruti Suzuki continues to be a bestseller in India

      Maruti Suzuki as a brand has been around for decades in the country. In fact, Maruti Suzuki has been the first one in the country to provide with refined technology and comfort that Indian automotive industry was unaware about. All these years the India's largest carmaker laid down a strong foundation by delivering reliable, cost and mileage efficient cars for the Indian masses.

      As per the latest sales report released by Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), Maruti Suzuki has been dominating the market in terms of sales with its popular four models. The Alto hatchback, entry-level small car from Maruti Suzuki has featured in the list of top 10 best sellers in India for the months April – August. Apart from Alto, the Dzire sedan came second, whereas Swift and Wagon R hatchbacks came in third and fourth respectively.

      Hyundai being a strong competitor to Maruti Suzuki has managed to hold onto fifth spot with the Grand i10, whereas Xcent sedan and Eon hatchback have been holding onto sixth and seventh position, respectively. Speaking in terms of numbers Alto has reportedly sold about 1,03,123 units in the April-August period as against 91,665 units sales reported in the same period previous year. Dzire has reportedly received 82,912 units sales as against 75,112 units previously. Swift has received reported sales of about 80,861 units as against 72,733 units in the same period last year. Wagon R sales have been noted to be around 63,051 as against 61,298 units reported earlier.
