Maruti Suzuki India seems bullish about its upcoming sedan Ciaz that is slated to launch in India towards the end of next month. To give Ciaz an edge over its rivals in C segment, MSI has paid more attention on the rear passenger seat of the sedan. Flaunting a length of 4,545 mm and bestowed with a comparatively flat floor Ciaz is expected to offer a capacious cabin along with ample legroom for rear passengers. As for the outer appearance of the sedan is concerned the concept form exhibited at the 2014 Auto Expo earlier this year grabbed attention of onlookers and auto aficionados.
As per the media reports, Maruti Suzuki India will launch Ciaz sedan in both petrol and diesel guise in total of six trim levels. Features including projector head lights will be offered as a standard provision on Ciaz, while equipments exclusive to high end model comprise of 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control, steering mounted controls, engine starter button, Anti-Lock-Braking System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and dual airbags. Since the launch is slated for next month it is expected that the pre-launch bookings for Ciaz might launch shortly.
To combat the fierce competition in mid-sized sedan segment that includes new Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Vento, Fiat Linea, Nissan Sunny and Skoda Rapid, MSI will have to price Ciaz competitively. As per speculations, a hypothetical price ranging between Rs 7.5 lakh to Rs 10.5 lakh is being expected for the sedan.
