Ahead of MSI’s new vehicle, Ciaz’s launch later this month, the company is aggressively promoting the mid-sized sedan through various unique marketing strategy adapted by the company. Though there is yet no confirmation on the launch date yet, but it has been learnt that official bookings for the sedan will start from September 3, 2014, however dealers across the country have already started accepting pre-bookings at a token amount of Rs 21,000.
Our reliable sources have confirmed from MSI dealers that Ciaz’s official bookings will start from September, however on dealer level bookings have already commenced. Bookings on dealer level commenced from Ganesh Chaturthi, as people tend to make purchase during the auspicious occasion.
Dealers have also disclosed that the response so far from customers for new Ciaz has been good and is expected to get even better. Replacing the suave looking SX4 sedan, Ciaz is larger, roomier and more up-market. A string of high end features too have been equipped in the vehicle such as projector headlamps, chrome grille, rear defogger, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, alloy wheels, touchscreen audio system, steering mounted controls, keyless entry, ABS and airbags that make it a viable option in its segment.
MSI will offer Ciaz in both petrol and diesel engine options in total of sic trim-levels including VXi/VDi, VXi+/VDi+, and ZXi/ZDi. Powering petrol variants will be a 1.4 litre K Series engine that engenders top power of 95 PS. Diesel range will get Fiat sourced 1.3 litre Multijet engine, MSI will employ 90 PS variant of the powertrain in Ciaz. Petrol and diesel variants will get manual transmissions, while the company could offer automatic gearbox as optional on petrol variant.
