Mahindra & Mahindra has teased the much-awaited TUV300 mini SUV ahead of its launch on September 10, 2015. The picture of the vehicle has been teased as part of a promotional activity which asks customers to participate in a contest – “Are you touch enough to win the TUV300?”. The winner will get to drive home the all-new Mahindra TUV300 for free. The booking for the mini SUV will be opened from tomorrow, i.e. September 1, 2015.
Other noteworthy features include electronically adjustable ORVMs, a 2-DIN music system with Bluetooth, AUX-in and USB connectivity, a large central screen with touchscreen infotainment system, LCD display unit, power windows, center console with polygonal cluster, air conditioning unit, airbag, etc.
Powering the Mahindra TUV300 is an all-new 1.5-litre mHawk80 diesel engine that will be paired to a 5-speed manual transmission, and an AMT (automated manual transmission) gearbox (only the top-end model). Mahindra claims that the new engine is competent to offer superior refinement and NVH levels.
The Mahindra TUV300 will be manufactured at the company’s Pune-based Chakan production facility. Since it will be positioned above the Bolero, the mini SUV will be priced around Rs. 6.50 lakh – Rs. 8.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
