Mahindra and Mahindra has announced a halt in production in its automotive division plants for seven days in September 2021. In a regulatory filing, the Indian carmaker has stated that due to supply shortage of semi-conductors, the company will be observing ‘No Production Days’ for around seven days.

Due to the interruption in the manufacturing operations, the production is likely to witness a decline of about 20 to 25 per cent. However, Mahindra has also assured no material impact for the upcoming XUV700 production. The carmaker will soon commence the bookings for select variants of the SUV.

However, it is to be noted that the production of tractor, trucks, three-wheelers, and buses remains unaffected by the mentioned disruption.

Mahindra has revealed the prices for the five-seater MX series along with select variants of the AX series. While the base variant is priced at Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the carmaker is yet to announce the prices for the higher-spec trims. To know more about the new Mahindra XUV700, click here.
