      Mahindra Mojo 300 all set to be launched in India

      The rumour mill, around this time in the Indian automobile market, keeps buzzing with new bulletins. Mahindra Two Wheelers, which is enjoying a superb stint in India, is set to enter the sports bike segment by launching the Mahindra Mojo 300 and from the looks of it, the launch could take place in India really soon. According to a report by Rushlane, Mahindra Mojo has been shown to dealers across the country, reiterating and confirming that the bike will be on its way to showrooms quite soon.

      Rumours regarding the launch of the Mahindra Mojo have been circulating in the Indian market for a long time now since the model was shown to customers and media at the 2010 Auto Expo, which took place in New Delhi. Now, if the rumours regarding it being shown in dealerships are true then Indian bike aficionados will finally be able to lay their hands on this highly anticipated model.

      Mahindra Mojo 300, sources claim, will come with features like LED daytime running lights, a new fuel tank, Upside Down (USD) forks and twin mufflers along with Pirelli tyres, which will be mounted on Y-spoke black alloy wheels and an LED taillight.

      As far as mechanical configuration is concerned, Mahindra is expected to provide Mojo with a liquid cooled 300 cc 4-stroke single cylinder engine that will generate a power level of around 27 BHP along with peak torque of 25 Nm. The braking system, on the other hand, is likely to feature disc brakes on both front and rear wheels.

      Mahindra Mojo is likely to create a vibe in the market and rival with the likes of Bajaj Pulsar CS, Kawasaki Ninja 300R and Honda CBR300R. Though a set price line has not been given, it is expected that Mahindra Mojo will cost around INR 2 lakh to customers in India. Mahindra Two Wheelers is on a roll in the Indian market and is set for launching a new scooter in the month of September, which will be followed by the introduction of an improved version of Centuro.

      The new scooter has been spied testing on numerous occasions and is expected to come with a cylinder that has a displacement of around 107 cc and produce a power level of 8 BHP along with peak torque of 8.5 Nm. Not only this, this scooter is rumoured to be fitted with MRF Nylogrip tyres and a front with telescopic forks.

      Coming to the new Centuro, which will feature disc brakes, a report in IB Times suggests that this model is going to be fitted with the same Micro Chip Ignited 5-Curve (MCi-5) powertrain that has the ability to deliver maximum power of 8.5 BHP while highest torque would be in the same region as well. Other highlights of this bike will be find-me lamps, LED pilot lamps, engine immobiliser and guide-me home lamps. Industry experts believe that so many launches in the Indian market surely signify the huge potential it possesses and show that Mahindra Two Wheelers is definitely making its way up the ladder.
