Triumph Motorcycles, the famous bike maker from United Kingdom, is one of the latest entrants in the market and it will still take some time before gathering momentum. The present time for this company is quite tough, given that it is not known among many people across India and the ones that do prefer other brands. Triumph Tiger 800 XC is a model that could change things for them in the Indian market.

An advanced version of the Triumph Tiger 800, Tiger 800 XC is loaded with equipment and features that make it a technologically superior bike to others. This motorcycle has been designed to run well even on rugged terrains with complete stability and smoothness. Provided with genuine off-road capability, this bike has a superb riding position featuring an upright and tall structure. The seat of the Triumph Tiger 800 XC is lofty and it is easily manoeuvrable while the screen prevents the wind pressure regardless of the high stance. The grab handles are chunky, footrests are comfortably positioned and the aluminium handlebars are span-adjustable.

The technological advancement of this bike is something to be marvelled at and would certainly play a huge role in influencing the customer’s decision. There is an Anti-lock Braking System in the Triumph Tiger 800XC that uses the latest technology to ensure there is no wheel lock up. The engine immobiliser helps in detecting any sort of problem and turns off the ignition system if required. Alternator, high luggage capacity, aerodynamically optimised screen and Tyre Pressure Monitoring system are the other highlights of this bike.

This bike is powered by a Liquid-cooled, 12 valve, DOHC, in-line three-cylinder engine that develops an output of around 94 BHP and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The multipoint sequential electronic fuel injection system enables this bike to perform exceptionally well.

Experts feel that though the market for such bikes is really limited in India, if marketed properly, Triumph Tiger 800XC could be a real winner, given its ability to work as brilliant off-road vehicle. The craze for off-road biking is increasing manifold in Indian and Triumph needs to make itself popular as brand in order to gauge some of that huge customer base. Given that Harley-Davidson, Yamaha, Suzuki and Honda dominate the higher end market of bikes in the country, there is definite room for companies like Hyosung, Triumph and Indian in the future, only if they want though.
