Continuing its dealership expansion programme in India, Jaguar Land Rover has inaugurated a new dealership in Pune. This showroom will operate in partnership with Ace Perkins and is a part of Jaguar Land Rover’s strategy of swift expansion in the Indian market. P.M. Telang, Managing Director, India Operations, Tata Motors, has inaugurated the new JLR dealership at Pune.
The JLR has opened its new dealership in Shivajinagar which is a prime location and upmarket area of Pune. This particular location of the city is turning into a popular place for luxury vehicle buyers. The dealership is an elegant unit covering an area over 12,000 sq. ft. and has ample space to display 9 cars. It also boasts of an elegant lounge and provides enough parking space to customers. A large workshop based in Wagholi spanning over 14,000 sq. ft. will provide support to this new dealership. This workshop has 13 service bays along with a body shop and paint facility. JLR will employ around 60 people in total in both the units.
In June 2009, Jaguar Land Rover opened its first dealership in India and the company currently has 15 operational sales and after sales units in the country. This dealership expansion programme forms part of the JLR strategy to augment its market share in India.
"In the fiscal year 2011-12, we achieved a sales growth of 157% in the Indian market and we want to maintain this momentum by heightening the awareness of our brands and continuing our dealership expansion programme. We are aiming to have 20 operational dealerships in by the end of this fiscal year,” said Dr. Ralf Speth, CEO Jaguar Land Rover.

This Pune facility will enable customers to view all the latest products of JLR including the XJ, XF, XFR and XKR. The dealership will also sell Jaguar XKR-S, the fastest and most powerful model of Jaguar. In addition to the above mentioned, the showroom will also offer Land Rover models including the Freelander 2, Discovery 4, Range Rover Sport, Range Rover and the globally acclaimed Range Rover Evoque.
