DC Design is known for modifying ordinary vehicles into luxurious ones and luxurious vehicles into out of the world ones. The company was the first one based in India to come up with a sports car- DC Avanti. Now it has partnered with Isuzu Motors India to design interiors for its Sports Utility Vehicle MU-7.

The luxury trim exclusively designed for MU-7 will include a redesigned dashboard which will have teakwood and a bit of chrome. The centre console of the car will also be lined up in teakwood along with two bottle holders and restyled AC vents. The screen will be surrounded by chrome. Teakwood has been used in abundant as the door pads will also be made of them and the whole interiors will sport a tan and white theme. An option of equipping the car with two iPad Mini will also be available. The optional entertainment system will be fitted at the back of front seats.

The car is on sale in India for an ex-showroom price of Rs. 21.5-23.9 lakhs. There are 4 manual and one automatic transmission to choose from and all of them drive a 3.0 litre diesel engine which gives out 161 bhp and 333 Nm of torque. With the optional DC Design trim, the price will go up by Rs. 3.45 lakhs (exclusive of taxes). Toyota Fortuner is its biggest competitor right now and soon it will be pitted against an all new Ford Endeavour which is coming back with rugged looks and bulky body. Isuzu MU-7 has to come up with something special if it wants to compete against the American and Japanese and these DC Design trims might not make the cut.
