The visually appealing and contemporary looking hatchback has clocked in 15,300 unit bookings within 20 days of its launch on August 11, 2014. Outpacing its previous siblings launched in India viz; Xcent and Grand i10 that garnered 11,000 and 10,000 bookings within 30 days of their launch, Elite i20 reinforces its popularity in India.
Officials at Hyundai are completely elated over the response received by customers across the country for new Elite i20 hatchback. Company claims that the demand of i20 has doubled and they are chalking out a plan to enhance production of the vehicle to avoid long waiting period. Also, the festive season is around the corner and customer sentiment is highest during this time, hence Hyundai wants to be well prepared for the upcoming festive season.
Donning the new design, Elite i20 is the latest version of Hyundai’s i20 hatchback. Elite i20 is offered in petrol and diesel engine options, petrol variants are housed with a 1.2 litre Dual VTVT Kappa petrol engine while diesel range is packed with a 1.5 litre CRDi diesel powertrain.
