Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI), today, launched the much-awaited successor of the CB Twister – the Livo – at a starting price of Rs. 52, 989 (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Available in two variants – Self-Drum-Alloy and Self-Disc-Alloy - the Honda Livo will rival the Hero Passion Pro, TVS Start City+, Mahindra Centuro and others in the segment.
Powering the new Livo is a 109.19cc, 4-stroke, air-cooled SI engine paired with a 4-speed transmission. It’s the same engine that does duty to the CB Twister. Though, it is tuned for extra power and better fuel efficiency. It is capable to produce a maximum power of 8.25bhp at 7,500rpm and 8.63Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. This engine is boasted with Honda’s HET (Honda Eco Tech) efficiency enhancing technology that improves engine combustion, optimizes transmission and reduces friction. The bike has an electronic speed limit of 86kmph. The Honda Livo is available in 4 color options – Pearl Amazing White, Athletic Blue Metallic, Sunset Brown Metallic and Black.
The Livo takes its design inspiration from the Honda CB Unicorn 160. It features a dynamic styling with a new fairing, side cowls, well-accentuated fuel tank extensions, new tailpiece, brake light and a small exhaust muffler. It also gets twin hexagonal instrument pods and silencer with chrome insert. The bike measures 2, 020mm in length, 746mm in width and 1, 099mm in height, and has wheelbase of 1, 285mm. Based on a steel tubular diamond chassis, the Honda Livo comes equipped with telescopic fork at the front and spring loaded hydraulic suspension at the rear axel. Braking power for the bike comes from drum brakes, fitted on both front and rear wheels.
