Nissan’s low-cost car brand Datsun will launch the entry-level hatchback - the Redi-Go – in India by March 2016. Unveiled as a concept at the 2014 Auto Expo, the Datsun Redi-Go will be pitted against entry-level hatchback cars.

Based on the Renault-Nissan alliance CMF-A platform, the Redi-Go will feature crossover-like stance and high ground clearance. Compared to the Go hatchback, Nissan might offer better safety equipment on the Redi-Go. According to reports, the Datsun Redi-Go will be powered by an all-new 0.8-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine that will also do duty on the upcoming Renault Kwid. This engine is claimed to deliver class-leading fuel efficiency. It is capable to produce a maximum power of 57bhp, while yielding a peak torque of 130Nm.
