Japanese car maker Honda finally launched the new Jazz in the Indian market a few days back and to say the least, the model has created certain hype among critics and customers in the country. While Honda has left no stone unturned to promote the car and its television commercials can be seen pretty regularly. However, beneath all the commercial activity lies a superb car, which has been reworked on tremendously by its manufacturers to ensure that it scores high in its second innings. It is a known fact that the last time Honda Jazz was launched in India, it could not perform well due to multiple reasons, which included high price and lack of a diesel model. However, this time Honda has ensured that none of those factors come in between Jazz and success. Let’s take a look at factors and features that will make Jazz a commercial and critical hit in India.

Cars from Honda can hardly be criticised in terms of design or style and Jazz is no different. Impeccably styled, Honda Jazz features a bold design that is characterised by a strong front and a dynamic rear. While its character lines lend it an amazing edge, the rear spoiler and alloy wheels make it look extremely stylish. Other highlights of the exteriors include sporty sleek wraparound headlamps, front fog lamps, tailgate spoiler with integrated LED stop lamp, rear license chrome garnish, rear micro roof antenna and electrically adjustable ORVMs.

Though the exteriors of this car are amazing, the real USP lies in its interiors and list of amazing features. Like the City model from Honda, Jazz has been designed on the Man Maximum Machine Minimum philosophy, which ensures that the driver and passengers get more than sufficient space to sit for long term benefits. There is a five-inch integrated audio system, premium dashboard with an advanced interface, multi-information combination meter and steering mounted audio control. Some amazing convenience features are present in this hatchback from Honda, such as tilt steering, centre console power & USB ports, floor console bottle holders, driver seat height adjuster, rear parking camera, rear camera with top down/normal/wide view.

Safety is something Honda has paid a lot of attention on and the Jazz comes with ACE Body Structure, impact mitigating headrests, driver window one touch up, immobiliser anti-theft system, dual SRS airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and seatbelt pensioner with load limiter. In terms of mechanical configuration, this car comes in both petrol and diesel variants, which are powered by 1.2-litre and 1.5-litre engines, respectively.
