There have been quite many rounds of anticipation regarding the all-new Jazz from Honda. It has been reported that the new model will be up for sale in the country from July. Now, as the launch dates start coming nearer, advance bookings for the car has already opened in India.
It was first reported that the official booking would commence by June 20. However, because of the growing popularity of the car, unofficial bookings of the new Jazz have already been started. Some of the official dealers of the Honda Jazz have already started taking bookings for the new car. The price for the booking has been slated at Rs 30000 for the base variant. However, the booking price might go up to Rs 51000 depending on the choice of the variant.
It has been reported that the car will be launched in India on July 8. It has been spotted doing the test rounds several times on the road. It was earlier reported that the new Jazz will be available in as many as 12 variants in the country. Mechanistically, the car would be powered by a 1.2-litre, I-VTEC petrol mill, which has been seen in the Brio and Amaze. The maximum power generated from the engine is 87 bhp with 110 Nm of torque. The standard diesel mill utilised in the new Jazz is a 1.5-litre I-DTEC engine, which is capable of churning out 100 PS power and a torque of 200 Nm.
The car will rival leading players in the hatchback category like Maruti Swift and Hyundai Elite i20. Jazz is expected to sport a price tag of Rs 7.1 lakhs.
