      Honda crosses 300 Million production milestone across the globe

      On the race track or a public street, Honda Motor Co. Ltd. has been a widely accepted and trusted across the globe. A recent announcement made by the company states that cumulative motorcycle production figures across the globe has achieved a new milestone with 300 million-unit produced till date. To celebrate this special feat, Honda had organized an event to celebrate this feat at its Kumamoto Factory. The brand is currently in its 66th year since its started production of its Dream Type-D way back in the year 1949. To mark the special feat, Honda produced the 2015 model Gold Wing as its 300 millionth motorcycle from its Kumamoto based factory.

      In its 66 years of success, Honda has managed to set-up about 33 plants that is spread across 22 countries performs its duty of putting a smile on the faces of the local crowd. The company has always stood-up to its commitment to “build products close to the customer.” Making lives better and comfortable has been the priority for the company across a large number of regions and number of countries in the world.

      Speaking more on this joyful occasion, Takanobu Ito, president and CEO of Honda Motor Co., Ltd, said, “Thanks to support from our customers and all of the people involved in development, production and sales, Honda was able to reach the 300 million-unit milestone. We will continue to provide products that will please our customers in each country and region in the world.” Production of motorcycles was done outside Japan for the first time in Belgium in 1963, and since then there has been no looking back for the brand across the global markets.
