The stylish Hyundai Sonata has been globally popular for its impressive performance and luxury features. For a while now, Hyundai had been teasing the auto fanatics with the expected launch of 2015 Sonata. The company has this time launched the new 2015 Hyundai Sonata in the Malaysian market at a price tag of about RM 130,000 (Approx Rs. 24.64 Lakhs). The top end has been launched for RM 154,000 (Approx Rs. 27.30 Lakhs). The luxury sedan is available in three trims namely - Elegance B, Elegance and Executive.
The new 2015 Hyundai Sonata is reportedly powered by 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine that is capable of generating about 154 PS of power with 194 Nm of torque. The powerful engine is mated to 6-speed automatic transmission. The new sedan is stated to be based on on Hyundai popular ‘Fluidic Sculpture V2.0′ design philosophy. Moreover, Hyundai claims that the new Sonata sedan is indeed stronger than its predecessors as the sedan has been built using high-tensile steel that offers an additional 41% of torsional rigidity, and about 35% greater bending strength in comparison to its older trims.
Overall the new trim is also slightly longer than its older generation. The car measures about 35mm longer, 30 mm wider and 10 mm longer wheelbase. In the boot area you can stock in a huge lot inside the 510 Liter boot space. For style and comfort, the vehicle gets dual-zone climate control, 17-inch alloy wheels, powered driver seat, key-less entry and Go, auto headlamps and Smart Trunk System. For safety, the vehicle gets dual front airbags, ABS, ESC and Hill Start Control.
