Honda had launched a teaser campaign last week for promoting its 2016 CRF 100L Africa Twin. As a part of the promotion, two heavily shadowed images of the bike had been showcased in the campaign, which has fuelled the anticipation for this bike by a fair margin. This week grey scale pictures of the CRF 1000L Africa twins from the design patent filed in Australia by Honda have been leaked online. These images have surfaced on the internet and have been making the headlines among the biking fraternity across the globe. Unlike the previous images, the recent ones have shown the bikes in full glory.
As seen from the images, the unique frame designed from aluminium of the all-new CRF 1000L Africa Twin has thrust the radiators and airbox to the side parts of the motorcycle. This aspect has improved the ergonomics and dynamics of the motorcycle by clearing the space at the front portion of the fuel tank. Incidentally, the new motorcycle will ride on an 18-inch rear and a 21-inch front wheel.
A lot of technical specifications have not been revealed by Honda as of now. However, it has been reported independently that the CRF 1000L Africa Twin will have a 1000 cc parallel twin mill, which will be capable of generating a power of around 110 bhp. The mill is expected to use a 270-degree crank with double balancer shafts, which will definitely improve the power delivery. Also, the bike will be available with an option to switch to DCT semi-automatic transmission. It has been reported that the Honda CRF 1000L Africa Twin will be unveiled sometime during the later part of 2015 as a 2016 model.
