The Honda City has been present in the country for over a decade now. The sedan has been a popular choice among new car buyers in the country. The latest fourth generation launched way back in early 2014 has reportedly managed to sell about 1.5 Lakh units in just about 20 months, wherein the company sold about 1 Lakh unit in just 15 months and sold another 50,000 units in other five months!
Clearly, the Honda City has been one among the most preferred car choice in the country and with the festive season round the corner, the numbers are likely to be stronger in coming days. The company had also launched the latest trim with a new diesel engine thereby offering wider choice for its customers. Better features, comfort and improved handling have been key factors that has made the bew model all the more appealing.
Under the hood, the new Honda City gets a 1.5 litre i-VTEC petrol engine that generates about 116bhp of power with 145Nm of torque. The diesel trim is powered by 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine that generates about 97bhp of power with 200Nm of torque. The diesel trim gained a lot of popularity owing to its impressive mileage figure of 26 kmpl. The vehicle if offered at a lucrative price range between Rs 8 -12 Lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi).
