Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI), the popular bikemaker in the Indian 2-Wheeler industry has reportedly managed to set a new record. The company's hot-selling iconic Activa has claimed the No. 1 spot for Selling two-wheeler model in India in 12 months ending on March’15. Honda Activa's domestic sales have reportedly stood at around 207,270 units in March’15 thereby leading with a good margin. The popular automatic scooter Activa has continued to exponentially gain acceptance as the most preferred choice of 2-wheeler for commuting in India.
Moreover, it is worth noting that Activa is indeed the only Automatic scooter (ATSC) that feature among the Top 10 selling 2wheelers of India in FY’14-15. Among the Top 10 selling 2wheelers of India in FY’2014-15, the scooter reigns supreme as both the ‘Highest volume Gainer’ adding 5.04 lac incremental units and ‘Highest percentage gainer’ by gaining 30% sales volumes.
