The World Cup Cricket fever is on and Ford has brought a new feature for all cricket lovers. It has introduced SYNC with Ford AppLink with its best-selling compact SUV model, EcoSport. The addition of the infotainment system has enabled users to get updates from ESPN Cricinfo even while on the move. The SYNC with Ford AppLink will be offered on the Titanium variant of Ford EcoSport. It is now available across all dealerships across the nation. EcoSport becomes the second product to feature this in-house technology, which has also won several awards. In 2014, the first car to offer connectivity with favourite smartphone applications was Ford Fiesta.

There are also a number of other applications available on Ford AppLink, which includes Explore, a location-oriented application by MapMyIndia and a secure as well as global location sharing application – Glympse. The automobile manufacturer is also working with other application partners in the nation as well as across the world to add to Ford AppLink compatible applications.
It was also a revelation that the 2015 Ford Figo hatchback was spotted with a mobile docking system instead of using the SYNC system. This led to speculations that the automobile manufacturer might introduce the SYNC system in Figo after the EcoSport and Fiesta systems are updated. The company might also introduce it at the launch, which might be in a top-end, optional version.
