      Ford India flags-off 100 day road show from Kolkata

      Ford India, the Indian unit of the US based leading car maker, is celebrating its compact hatchback Ford Figo’s crossing 1,00,000 units dealer deliveries in the country. To celebrate the occasion, the company is organizing a 100 day road show, across 1000 cities in India. The Figo model was launched in the country in March 2010, and since then it has been among one of the most demanded compact hatchbacks in the Indian market. The Figo model is competing with the likes of Maruti Swift, Volkswagen Polo and Chevrolet Beat.

      In a recent statement, Nigel Wark, Executive Director, Marketing, Sales and Service, Ford India, “Through our roadshow, the Ford Figo ‘Bharat Yatra', we will introduce the vehicle to more Indian drivers, enabling them to see, first hand, what the buzz is all about.”

      The Road Show was flagged-off from Kolkata on Wednesday. It will continue through West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Assam, Orissa and Chhattisgarh. Another two convoys will depart from Bangalore and Pune, from next week. The Figo Convoy will be covering many remote towns including the likes of remote towns such as Gadchiroli, Hinganhat and Korba.
