Fiat India has released new trailer featuring Avventura and the USP equipments that vehicle will be offered with. Fiat plans to launch new Avventura crossover in India around festive season. Avventura is a hatchback based crossover that has been conceived on Punto Evo. Facelift version of Punto Evo is due for launch in the first week of August which will be followed by Avventura launch. This would be the first new launch in India by Fiat after a long gap.
Under the hood, Avventura will get the same set of engines as will be offered in new Punto Evo range. A 1.2 litre petrol engine will power entry level petrol trims while the high displacement 1.4 litre gasoline engine could be housed in the high end trims. Diesel range of new Avventura is likely to get Fiat’s robust 1.3 litre Multijet diesel powerplant that does duty in a number of other popular vehicles in India. However, the diesel engine will be offered in two states tune. A five-speed manual gearbox will be mated to all the engines.
Features that vary Avventura from Punto Evo include projector head lamps, plastic side body mouldings, skid guards, roof rails and an unconcealed spare wheel. Inside the cabin, Avventura gets contrast stitching and roll-and-tilt gauges. In India the crossover will compete against Volkswagen Cross Polo and Toyota Etios Cross. Fiat is expected to price Avventura at Rs 6 lakh for the basic model while the high end trim is likely to be priced at Rs 8 lakh.
