The Redi-Go from Datsun has caught the fancy of many car lovers in the country. The promising hatchback might be launched in India sometime around mid-April this year. Datsun’s current lot, the Go hatchback and Go+ sub 4-metre MPV failed to evoke good response in the Indian market, but the upcoming Redi-Go is expected to help the brand gain a good footing in the Indian market.

The Datsun Redi-Go shares the CMF-A platform with Renault’s Kwid. It is believed that the new product might be powered by the Kwid’s 800cc petrol engine that generates 53bhp of power. Reports have indicated that the vehicle might also get a 1.2-litre petrol engine. The engine will come mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
