      BMW X4 facelift introduced in India at Rs 70.50 lakh

      BMW has further expanded its product line-up in the country with the launch of the X4 facelift at a starting price of Rs 70.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The newly launched X4 facelift can also be had exclusively in the Black Shadow edition. The vehicle is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. The newly launched BMW X4 is available in both Black Sapphire and M Brooklyn Grey metallic paintwork. It is worth noting that the Black Shadow edition is offered in limited numbers. 

      The fascia is highlighted by the signature mesh kidney grille with all-black mesh inserts and the frame is finished in ‘M High Gloss Shadow Line’. As compared to the outgoing model, this updated version of the Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) features 10mm slimmer and flatter adaptive LED headlamps. These headlights offer Matrix function as standard and are designed in M Shadow line with black accents. The X4 Black Shadow edition gets the M aerodynamic package which includes components in body colour in front/rear apron and side sill covers. Additionally, the vehicle also gets vertical air intakes and bumper air inserts in dark shadow metallic. 

      To further highlight the sporty character, the vehicle sports a black frame around the windows with M High Gloss Shadow line. The vehicle ride on a set of 20-inch light M alloy wheels with double spoke design and M Sport brakes with red callipers. As for the rear, the bumper features the dark metallic colour with new anvil-shaped inlays in high gloss black and vertically arranged reflectors. The rear profile is further accentuated by split LED taillights.

      As for the interior, the X4 facelift gets premium upholstery and sports seats with electric adjustment and memory function. The steering wheel is wrapped in leather with black stitching and M logo for exclusivity. The centre console gets a modern design, and the rear seat occupants can tilt the seat backwards by up to nine degrees for additional comfort. Convenience feature highlights include a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, welcome carpet lights, three-zone climate control, and 525-litre of boot space which can extended up to 1,430-litres by folding down the rear seat backrest. 

      Mechanically, the X4 xDrive30d M Sport is powered by a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder diesel engine which generates 261bhp and 620Nm of torque between 2,000-2,500rpm. On the other hand, the X4 xDrive30i M Sport is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine which produces 249bhp and 350Nm of torque between 1,450-4,800rpm. Both the engine options are mated to an eight-speed Steptronic automatic transmission. The diesel version is capable of sprinting from zero to 100kmph in 5.8 seconds, while the petrol version is capable of doing the same in 6.6 seconds.

      The safety feature list includes six airbags, attentiveness assistance, dynamic stability control, cornering brake control, electric parking brake with auto hold, side impact protection, ISOFIX, and more.
