Luxury auto maker BMW has released the first pictures of 2-Series Active Tourer with M Sport package. The 2-Series Active Tourer M Sport package offers multiple features missing in the standard model. The comprehensive body-kit includes a high-gloss black grille in the front, a sport-tuned suspension for enhanceddriveability, masculine wheel arches are fitted with 17 or 18 inch alloy wheels. Inside the cabin the car maker has put on offer leather wrapped sport steering wheel, sports seats have been covered with special upholstery, M-branded door sill plates and an anthracite roof liner.
BMW will roll out the new 2-Series Active Tourer M Sport in three engine options-a 1.5 litre, three cylinder petrol engine which is good for 136 HP and 220Nm. Yet another petrol engine-2.0 litre, four cylinder motor capable of churning out a maximum power output of 231 Hp and 350Nmof torque will be put on offer. Diesel variant will be equipped with a 2.0 litre, four cylinder diesel motor engendering a top power and torque output of 150 Hp and 330Nmrespectively.
BMW has recently announced that it will develop a new full-size SUV, dubbed X7 which will be produced by 2016 at itsSpartanburgplant. This new SUV in the luxury car maker’s line up is said to be based on the X5 and X6SUVs. X7 will be a sevenseaterSUV with three rows offering enhanced wheelbase for ample legroom for rear passengers. It is likely that BMW will proffer X7 in India, other vital markets like Europe, US and China will get this new offering from BMW once it is production ready.
