The new Hyundai Verna will have India launched on 21 March and ahead of its arrival, Hyundai has issued another round of teasers, this time indicating that the Verna will be equipped with a new 10-inch touchscreen and a Bose sound system.

We already know that the Verna will join the likes of the other Hyundai models in getting a one-piece unit comprising a full digital cluster on the right and a screen on the left. The cluster follows on the lines of what we have already seen in the Venue, Nios and Aura while the touchscreen unit gets a black bezel and a black and blue colour scheme. It will get in-built navigation, phone mirroring and Bluelink-connected car technology.

The Verna will also be equipped with ventilated seats, an eight-speaker Bose sound system and a switchable touch surface for the climate control system and the controls for the infotainment system.

This new Hyundai Verna will be offered with the automaker’s 1.5-litre NA petrol and a new 1.5-litre GDi turbo petrol. A six-speed manual is common for both engines with a CVT for the former a seven-speed DCT for the latter as the two-pedal option. The Hyundai Verna is a rival for the Maruti Ciaz, Honda City, Volkswagen Virtus and Skoda Slavia.
