Honda is all geared up to launch the new City e:HEV hybrid in India on 4 May, 2022. This hybrid model features a small battery pack, two electric motors, and numerous new features.
The brand unveiled the hybrid sedan in India last month. Shortly afterwards, it commenced the City hybrid production at the Tapukara plant in Rajasthan. Meanwhile, the carmaker has already opened the pre-bookings.
This India-spec City e:HEV hybrid gets a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol hybrid engine producing 108bhp and 253Nm of torque. Linked to this hybrid setup is an e-CVT automatic gearbox.
Key highlights of this new hybrid sedan include full-LED headlamps, new front and rear bumpers, 16-inch alloy wheels, a boot-mounted spoiler, Honda Connect with smartwatch support, an eight-inch infotainment system, Google and Alexa voice assistant support, Honda Sensing – a suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), an electronic parking brake with auto hold, and multiple airbags.
