There is no secret that Mahindra & Mahindra is working on the Quanto facelift, which is expected to be launched in the upcoming festive season (i.e. October – November, 2015). According to a fresh report, the 2015 Mahindra Quanto facelift will receive an all-new front design that will be inspired from the Genio (facelift) pickup. Going by the Genio’s latest spyshots, the updated Quanto might get new headlights and a black metal grille with silver finish, larger air dams, a well-designed bonnet and fog lights with chrome surrounds.

Besides updated front design, the new Quanto will feature a slightly up-market interior. There will be new colour seat upholstery, and an AutoShift gearbox (instead of manual unit). The material quality of the centre console, too, will be better than the existing model. As far as features are concerned, the updated model will get air conditioning unit, power windows, anti-lock braking system (ABS), etc.

The 2015 Mahindra Quanto facelift will continue to feature the 1.5-litre, three-cylinder diesel engine that powers the existing model. This engine is capable to produce 100bhp of power and 240Nm of torque. Transmitting power to the wheels will be a new five-speed AutoShift gearbox. For improved handling and ride quality, Mahindra might also tune the suspension unit of the vehicle.

To be offered in three trim levels – C2, C4 and C6 – the Mahindra Quanto facelift is expected to be priced around Rs. 6.5 lakh – Rs. 8 lakh. At this price, the updated Quanto will take on the Ford EcoSport, Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster and others in the league.
