Several rumours regarding Hero MotoCorp launching a facelift version of its popular model HF Deluxe had been doing rounds for a while now. These speculations got some solid ground a few days ago when a team from GaadiWaadi spotted the model doing test runs in New Delhi. HF Deluxe is one of the most popular bikes by Hero MotoCorp and the firm does not want to take its foot off the pedal, which is why it is set to launch a facelift version of it. Hero MotoCorp is likely to make cosmetic changes to this bike and introduce it with a revised engine.
The fact that Hero MotoCorp had heavily camouflaged the test mule of the new HF Deluxe is an automatic give away that several changes are going to be incorporated. Images of the test mule also suggested that Hero MotoCorp has changed the rear part of the bike, especially the tail lamps and indicators. Sources claim that the Indian automaker might tinker with its headlamp fairing in order to give the bike a fresh look. However, some parts, like silencer and alloy wheels, are not going to be changed at all.
In terms of engine, Hero MotoCorp could fine tune the existing powertrain, which has a capacity of 97.2 cc, to deliver a higher power level. This bike, in all likelihood, will be fitted with a four-speed transmission system.
Though nothing has been confirmed yet, Hero MotoCorp is expected to put the new HF Deluxe on sale within the next two months. Also, the auto maker’s incorporation of changes in the bike is least likely to have an effect on its pricing. Experts feel that the introduction of a facelift version of HF Deluxe will further strengthen its position in the Indian market, where it competes with the likes of Bajaj Discover 100 and Honda Dream Neo.
