In the past few months, there have been several reports regarding the potential launch of DSK Hyosung GD250R and GD250N in the Indian market. Now, according to reports, Chief Operating Officer of DSK Motorwheels, has gone ahead to confirm that these models will be launched in the subcontinent in 2015.

Notably, GD250N was unveiled by DSK Hyosung at the Auto Expo in 2014. Also, GD250R is a fully-faired variant of the bike. There are several similarities in the GD250N and GD250R, including panels and bodywork. However, DSK Hyosung GD250R is likely to feature an aerodynamic front fairing.

These models are fitted with single-cylinder powertrains that have a capacity of 249 cc and feature a fuel injection system. The liquid-cooled drivetrain is capable of delivering an output of around 27.6 BHP along with peak torque of 24 Nm. In addition, DSK Hyosung GD250R and GD250N will come with six-speed transmission system.

The 2014 Auto Expo saw Hyosung communicate the fact that it intended to launch RT 125D and GD250N together in the Indian market. It is believed that the collaboration between Benelli and DSK Motorwheels is the reason behind the delay in the launch of these models. Since GD250N and GD250R are single-cylinder bikes, they are likely to be priced below Hyosung GT 250R.
