      2014 Jaguar XE revealed, launches early next year in India

      2015 Jaguar XE made its global debut at a gala event organized in London. The saloon will officially be made available for sale in 2015 at a starting indicative price of £ 27,000. 2015 XE saloon is claimed to be the most fuel efficient saloon from the stables of Jaguar. All thanks to its reduced weight, the company vouches new XE to return around 75 mpg that equals to 26 kmpl on EU combined cycle. Among its many firsts is the new modular vehicle architecture based on which the vehicle has been developed.

      Power comes from a set of new engines from Ingenium family, new XE will house four and six cylinder diesel and petrol powertrains. The top-of-the-line XE S model gets supercharged 3.0 litre V6 engine that is good for 335 Bhp and 450 Nm and achieves 0 to 60 kmph mark in just 4.9 seconds.

      Inside the cabin, the premium saloon will come incorporated with a new infotainment system that includes an eight inch touchscreen. The touchscreen can be integrated with a smartphone via the InControl Remote and InControl Apps. This system also performs various other functions like it lets you pre-set climate control separately for each day in a week and also allows locking and unlocking the doors. Besides this it also enables to start the engine remotely.

      With new XE, Jaguar is also introducing its newly designed and developed In-car technologies that includes various driver aids and entertainment systems. Company claims that addition of such features in a premium saloon like XE ups the luxury quotient and offers a comfortable driving experience. Touted to be the smallest saloon in Jaguar’s range of models, the vehicle will face fierce competition from the likes of Audi A4, Mercedes C Class and BMW 3 Series.
