The Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor was launched in India on 3 April, 2024

Exterior

On the outside, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor gets a grille similar to that of the Fronx but with the Toyota logo in the centre. The headlamps are the same but the LED DRLs are stacked instead of the three-strip design on the Fronx. In profile, both cars are the same but the Taisor gets new wheels, while the design of the rear is the same as that of the Fronx.

Interior

Inside the cabin, the Urban Cruiser Taisor comes with 8.0-inch displays for the touchscreen infotainment system and instrument cluster, climate control, cruise control, and a wireless charger. Also on offer is a 360-degree surround camera, heads-up display, sunroof, height adjustment for the driver’s seat, connected car technology, and ambient lighting.

Engine, performance, and specifications:

The Toyota Taisor gets the 1.2-litre NA petrol that produces 88bhp/113Nm and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol motor that produces 99bhp/148Nm. The 1.2-litre unit is offered with a five-speed manual or a five-speed AMT, while the turbo petrol gets a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic torque converter unit. Finally, the 1.2-litre engine can also be had with CNG where its output is 76bhp/98.5Nm and only offered with a five-speed manual.

Variants:

The Taisor is offered in the E, S, S+, G, and V trims across both AT and MT options.

Safety:

The Taisor has not been tested yet for any crash test safety ratings.

Competition:

The Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor is a rival to the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, Mahindra XUV300, and the Tata Nexon.
