A couple of days ago, Yamaha has launched the newer version of SZ-RR in a 2.0 version at a lucrative price tag of Rs. 65,300 (ex-showroom Delhi). At the launch event that was held at YMCA grounds in Chennai, Roy Kurian, vice president, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd, said, “It is our pleasure to be launching the all new SZ-RR version 2.0 this festive season at the closing ceremony of our successful endeavor of Mission 10,000km. With our breakthrough technology, Blue Core, now inducted to our successful SZ-RR model, we want to present our customers with advanced choices and fun riding in the city. Looking at the demand for standard segment commuter motorcycles which is projected at 1.1 million units in 2014, it was indeed ideal for us to delight customers in this segment with the launch of SZ-RR Version 2.0.”
the Yamaha SZ-RR 2.0 has been launched in interesting shades of Ivory White, Red Dash and Green Arrow. The new bike is powered by 149 cc engine that generates a decent 12.1 PS of top power with about 12.8 Nm of peak torque. As part of fresh upgrades, the new Yamaha SZ-RR 2.0 comes equipped with Blue Core technology that reportedly aids in delivering about 11% better efficiency than the older version. The fairly powered engine is mated to a five speed gearbox.
Speaking about fresh upgrades, the new Yamaha SZ-RR 2.0 has received a new instrument console and tubeless tyres. To ensure that the bike stays in your control at all times, the bike gets drum brakes for the rear, whereas the front gets a disc brake. Speaking on dimension aspect, the new SZ-RR 2.0 gets length of about 2050 mm long, width of about 760 mm and height of about 1100 mm. A comfortable ride quality can be expected owing to telescopic forks at the front and dual shocks at the rear.
