      Volkswagen Upgrading its Models to Meet New Emission Norms

      Volkswagen Jetta and Passat will be undergoing significant changes to meet the new emission norms that become effective from April 01. Volkswagen is busy upgrading both the models as per the new emission standards. Both the models will have their engine replaced where the existing 105bhp PD engine will be replaced with a 2.0L 140bhp PD to meet the Bharat Stage IV norms. This also means that the new engine will have better sound than the existing one that delivers noisy performance.

      Volkswagen Jetta car will undergo cosmetic changes where it will have a new front grille, re-designed bumper and a new hood. It will have a new 16-valve 2.0 common rail turbo diesel engine producing power of 139 bhp. However, the model will be available only with manual transmission. Jetta’s petrol version will share its engine with Skoda Laura’s 1.8L petrol powertrain.
