      Volkswagen Polo facelift launching tomorrow

      Volkswagen India will launch updated Polo hatchback in India tomorrow. The vehicle has been caught on camera a number of times being tested across the country. Polo’s latest version will sport minor cosmetic upgrades including a revamped bumper, reworked front grille, foglights, alloy wheels and inclusion of reflector elements inside the head lights. Volkswagen will also offer new Polo in orange exterior colour option.

      Among the most prominent changes made inside the cabin a new three spoke steering wheel is included, centre console gets the silver treatment and the multi-info display on the instrument cluster comes with a new front style.

      The new Polo has also received mechanical changes, the diesel range of the model is now powered by a 1.5 litre, four cylinder diesel powertrain replacing the previous 1.2 litre three cylinder motor. Volkswagen’s new 1.5 itre diese mill will offer varied power output of 90 PS and 105 PS. The latter version of the engine is expected to be housed in the Polo GT TDI variant.

      Petrol range of the new Polo hatchback will continue to be equipped with the 1.2 litre, three cylinder engine that is good for 75 PS. Polo GT TSI on the other hand will be armed with the 1.2 itre, four cylinder turbo petrol motor that bets out maximum power of 105 PS. All trims of Polo will get a five-speed manual gearbox except for the GT TSI variant that is likely to come mated to a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission.
