Ford, the American automaker, has unveiled the updated version of the European-spec EcoSport compact SUV at the Geneva Motor Show. The majority of the changes are given to the rear end of the SUV.
As you can see in the picture, the company has dropped the tailgate-mounted spare wheel in the updated model. The variants that come without the tailgate-mounted spare wheel will feature the different rear bumper. It features a faux diffuser and revised rear door with the license plate at its centre.
The showcased model is in a unique deep impact blue paint shade, with a black roof and wing mirror caps. Its flared wheel arches have been fitted to new 17-inch alloy wheels. The other additions include heated windscreen, wing mirrors and front seats.
The company has also updated the chassis with revised spring and damper rates. It also gets updated ESP (Electronic Stability Programme) and power steering system. Inside the cabin, the SUV has new instrument cluster with chrome surrounds. It is quite early to comment whether the updated model will make its way to our market or not. However, the company will introduce the EcoSport facelift in the country by next year.
