Renault’s Lodgy has been serving the international market for quite a while now and has a good amount of fan following overseas. The Duster compact SUV launched a while ago was the icebreaker French Automaker Renault that could not generate huge sales numbers earlier, whith the Duster SUV, Renault got an opportunity to earn a quality reputation for itself in India. Post launch, Lodgy MPV shall be the new offering from Renault.
Renault has not spoken on the pricing aspect or technical specifications for now, but the smartly designed MPV is expected to be priced aggressively in the Indian market which can possibly be a potential threat for the rest of vehicles in its segment. The Renault Lodgy is expected to be slightly longer than the recently launched Mobilio MPV, but might measure shorter than Innova. In India, the Renault MPV is likely to be launched in petrol and diesel variants.
Post launch Renault Lodgy may probably be manufactured at its Orgadam plant of JV Renault-Nissan. Going by reports, production for Renault Lodgy is due to begin in December this year and is expected to be launched in January, 2015. The vehicle is likely to be powered by 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine and is anticipated to be priced around Rs. 8 - 11 lakh bracket.As per a recent update from sources, Renault may launch Lodgy MPV sometime around January next year. Reports state that company has already received a go ahead plan to launch the vehicle in the Indian market.
