Fiat India is trying hard to improve its sales in the country. Since its separations with Tata Motors, the company has opened more than 100 individual dealerships and launched a couple of new products. However, the Italian automaker hasn't been able to improve its sales. The company is, now, planning to launch a bunch of new cars in the country. Here's a list of the cars to be launched this year -
Fiat Punto Abarth- The company has recently introduced its performance brand - the Abarth - to target car enthusiasts of the country. Under Abarth, the company will first launch the Punto T-Jet which will be powered by a 1.4-litre T-Jet MultiAir 4-cylinder petrol unit. This engine churns out 133bhp of power at 6000rpm and 206Nm of torque at 1750rpm. The car accelerates to 100kmph from zero in just 8.5 seconds and hits a top speed of 195kmph.

Fiat Avventura Abarth- Fiat is also planning to introduce the Abarth Avventura crossover, which will share its engine spec with Abarth Punto. Under the hood will be the same 1.4-lutre T-Jet unit that is good for 133bhp and 206Nm of torque. The vehicle will get sporty side skirts, bumpers and new alloy wheels.
Expected Launch - Mid-2015
Jeep Grand Cherokee & Wrangler- Fiat will introduce the Jeep brand in the country this year. The first product to be launched in our market will be the Grand Cherokee, while the Wrangler will go on sale by the year end. The diesel version of the SUV will get a 3.0-litre V6 unit that churns out 240bhp of power and a peak torque of 380Nm. Both the SUVs are expected to be sold through Jeep's exclusive dealerships, which are scheduled to open soon.
