Bajaj Auto, the homegrown two-wheeler maker, will launch the new Pulsar range in the country tomorrow. The company hasn't revealed the exact names of bikes, but we believe that the new Pulsar AS 200, Pulsar 150 NS and Pulsar 150 AS will be launched. The Pulsar AS 200 is basically the half faired version of the Pulsar RS 200, which was first seen in Indonesia and then in India and Turkey during its test rounds.

Based on the Pulsar 200 NS, the 200 AS (Adventure Sport) features quarter fairing and projector headlamps that look similar to the Pulsar 220. It is powered by the same 199.5cc liquid-cooled motor that also powers the 200 NS and RS 200. This engine is good for 23.5PS of peak power and 18.3Nm of maximum torque. It is expected that the 200 AS will come as a replacement for the Pulsar 220, and will be positioned between the naked and full-faired version. It is expected to be priced around Rs. 1 lakh.

On the other hand, the 150cc Pulsars will get slight changes. The bike will be powered by a 149.5cc, single-cylinder engine that churns out 17PS of power and 13Nm of torque, which is around 2PS and 0.5Nm higher than the outgoing model. Talking about styling, the 150NS shares its design with the 200 NS. On the other hand, the AS150 follow design cues with the AS200. The suspension mechanism comprises of telescopic front forks and monoshock rear suspension. The braking system features disc upfront and drum at the rear.

The half faired Pulsar AS 150 will compete against the likes of the Yamaha Fazer F1 and the Suzuki Gixxer SF. It is expected to be priced around Rs. 75,000, while the naked 150NS could be priced around Rs. 72,000.
