Honda has been a leading brand name in terms of two-wheelers. With the increasing demand, they have been creating some mesmerising vehicles, and recently, they unveiled two of their models at the on-going EICMA2014 expo in Milan, Italy. One of these was the heavily camouflaged True Adventure.

The bike on unveiling was very hideous which reflected the policy of Honda of not to showcase their production lines for the bike at this moment. This bike seems to be inspired from the Dakar programme of Honda. Honda says that they lack in the adventure segment of bikes, and in order to compensate this, they have launched this prototype.

So far, no technical details of this prototype were released by Honda, which puts a question mark on the marketing strategy of the company. In fact, even the name of the bike hasn’t been told, which develops a probability of the project being a secret one.

The looks of the bike reflects a hard core off-road design. The twin headlamps and extra-large windscreen gives the bike an exceptional look and style. Besides hiding the company’s production lines from the people, the army camouflage may also be a strategy for Honda to show the people, how “adventurous” their bike is.

This much awaited bike, on being unveiled, created a disappointment in the hearts of people as they were waiting for a good deal in terms of adventure bike by Honda. The information about the bike that could be gathered from observation was that the bike lacked the presence of Clutch and Gear Shifting paddles. This was because the prototype is said to be using a Honda’s Dual Clutch Mechanism (DCT), which eliminates the need of a clutch in Automatic setting and also, the use of the not so visible gear-shift mechanism below the handle.
