The popular British motorcycle brand, Triumph Motorcycles India Private Limited, has successfully completed the trip from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. This was done by a lone rider who travelled from Kanyakumari to Kashmir aboard a Triumph Tiger 800 XC. This was regarded as a highly adventurous trip and no other bike could have covered the entire distance with such an ease. Riding high on its success, the brand has recorded 600 bookings for its bike so far. Often regarded as one of the best touring motorcycles, the Tiger 800 XC was used to cover the rugged Indian terrains from the southern tip to the northern crest.

The entire journey was divided into five segments and it was spread over a little over three months to complete the itinerary. The lone rider started off his trip from the peaceful Kanyakumari and travelled northwards towards the beautiful hill station of Ooty during the first part of the trip. After beholding the mesmeric scenes of Ooty, the journey restarted and the rider had to go westwards towards Pune. Dasada was the third stop and reaching this place meant that half of the trip was done. Delhi, the capital of the nation was the fourth stop and the rider reached this place. The toughest part of the trip was from Delhi to Leh, which comprised riding the mountainous roads of the Himalayas. In the end, after completion of this memorable journey, it was immensely pleasing that the 4000 kilometre long trip was nicely done. Also, it proved the supremacy of the Tiger 800 XC, which proved to be a premium touring bike.

Designed expertly for the rugged roads, Tiger 800 XC is expected to break the boundaries for riders, who look for power. The machine comes with an 800 cc engine that is capable to produce power equivalent to 94 horses. The peak torque of 79 Nm makes it all the more alluring for those riders for whom testing the roads is more of a passion. The model is however, quite heavy at 215 kg and will need some muscle to manoeuvre efficiently. On the contrary, the finesse with which it has been designed is sure to bring in a lot of charisma. Tipped as one of the best off-road varieties in the nation, Tiger 800XC has been tagged 12 lakhs INR (ex-showroom).
