Now that Mahindra and Mahindra has finally given all a dekho of its upcoming TUV300 compact SUV in the form of design sketches, it is an obvious conclusion to know that the launch of TUV300 isn’t too far and it is September to be precise. This will be the manufacturer’s second foray in the compact SUV space post the Mahindra Quanto, which received a cold response for its odd ball looks.

But things don’t look any same as Mahindra has designed the TUV300 seeking inspiration from a battle tank. As enthusiastic as it sounds on paper, the design sketches look very promising. In fact, this might be the compact SUV for someone looking for a more urban and comforting way of having fun and presently there are none in the market. Mahindra Thar and Force Gurkha are impressive when it comes to taking them to challenging terrains but comfort is a total miss whereas vehicles like Ford EcoSport, Renault Duster are urban focussed but aren’t any fun or adventurous.

Mahindra TUV300 will sit exactly between these two types with a mix and match of features, comfort and performance. To make sure it does it perfectly, Mahindra created a new platform rubbishing all rumours about it replacing their best-selling Bolero SUV. The Indian utility vehicle manufacturer also assured that the TUV300 will not be a faux clad crossover but a true blue SUV.

The design sketches reveal the imposing design of Mahindra TUV300 with raised shoulders, high front nose, flat roof, high ground clearance, and straight bonnet. It will be manufactured at the company’s premier facility in Chakan.
