Tata cars also get the easy shift technology which in comparison to conventional ATS, is designed to offer optimum combination of driving comfort, with performance, fuel economy and better affordability.

Tata Motors has also been working on the next-gen DICR engines which will be available in 3-litre and 5-litre capacities, mostly under the commercial vehicle category. The company claims that these engines will offer best-in-class fuel economy, low cost of ownership, impressive performance and will be BS IV compliant and are design protected to meet future emission requirements (BS VI). For commercial Ultra bus with Gen 3-litre engine the company has offered the six-speed G550 Automated Manual Transmission.
