Tata Motors Full Throttle Trails, the extreme off-roading half day event exclusively for Tata Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) owners, ended its Dehradun edition on a successful note. Being the pioneers of adventure motorsports in India, Tata Motors has conceptualised Full Throttle event with a dual purpose, promoting motorsports in the country and establishing the dominance of Tata Motors' vehicles in demanding and tenacious situations. Already this year, Tata Motors has concluded successful trails in Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Delhi and Jodhpur.

The Dehradun trail, fifth in the year, kicked off at 10 am from Hotel Great Value, Dehradun with the active participation of over 30 SUV owners. The event received genuine enthusiasm from the public and attracted Tata customers from Dehradun and the areas in its vicinity. Prior to the start of the event, the participants were properly briefed by professionals over the challenging situations that they could expect and techniques to overcome those tricky situations. Arrangements for breakfast and lunch of the participants were also made.

Dehradun's rocky terrain was customised for the track, which required extreme manoeuvring techniques that drivers do not use to face in normal city driving conditions. The specially laid out track required some challenging off-road driving and was conceived while keeping in mind the skills of driver, so any accidents could be avoided.

Expressing his delight on the successful Dehradun trail, Jatin Lakra, Head Marketing (Sumo and Sumo Grande), Tata Motors, quoted, “We are delighted with the enthusiastic participation of Tata Motors customers from Dehradun, at this off-roading event. The activity not only demonstrated the capability of Tata Motors vehicles, but also enhanced the experience received by each of our customers, with most of them going off-roading for the very first time.”

Track designed by the company was laid out along the popular Sahastradhara falls, situated on the edge of Dehradun. The off-road track turned out to be an enticing opportunity for serious off-roading enthusiasts as it featured several sharp rocky inclines, river crossings, wet sand beds and other such unconventional terrains. The most challenging task was a rule according to which, the participants were supposed to traverse the entire track within a fixed time bracket to be certified as finishers.

Reportedly, Full Throttle will feature 21 trails over the entire year and each edition will bring new challenges and terrain on the table for Tata SUV owners, giving them a break from their boring day-to-day driving. The event will also provide a unique thrilling experience to participants, while exploring extreme off-roading driving skills in their favourite Tata SUVs.
