      Tata Manza and Aria launched in Ghana

      Home grown auto maker, Tata Motors has launched C segment sedan, Tata Manza and Tata Aria crossover in Ghana. Modern Auto Services will be the official partner of the car maker in Ghana. With a widely spread dealership and service network of Modern Auto Services in West-Africa, Tata Motors will definitely be benefited. Tata Motors started exporting commercial vehicles in Ghana in 1974, over 40 years ago. The company also started shipping its passenger vehicles including Tata Safari, Tata Sumo, Indica and Indigo to Ghana effective 2006.

      Tata Motors recently launched tweaked Tata Aria in the domestic market, however the Aria being exported to Ghana is the older version that has been discontinued in India. Ghana-Spec Aria will be powered by a 2.2 litre DiCOR diesel motor that belts out a peak power output of 138Bhp. A five speed manual transmission is paired with the diesel motor. Among the features embedded in Ghana-bound Aria, airbags, Anti Lock Brake system, steering mounted audio controls, reverse parking sensors, cooled glove box and a 17 inch alloy wheels are included.

      Tata Manza sedan being shipped to Ghana is the same as available for sale in India. The sedan is equipped with a 1.4 litre Safari petrol engine that pumps out a top power output of 88 Bhp and a pinnacle torque of 116 Nm. A five-speed manual transmission is mated to the petrol engine. Manza Gold is the top-of-the-line model being exported to Ghana, the sedan will be equipped with numerous features including driver and passenger airbags, Anti lock Brake system, Bluetooth connectivity, steering mounted audio controls, front and rear power windows and electrically adjustable rear view mirrors.

      The company contemplates to launch more vehicles in Ghana in coming time, however there is no information yet on the other cars that Tata might offer in future in Ghana. The company also started exporting its passenger and commercial vehicles to Philippines. Among the passenger vehicles being exported to Philippines, Tata Manza, Tata Vista, Tata Indica and Tata Indigo range are included. Commercial vehicles from Tata’s stable being shipped to Philippines include, Xenon, Ace and Super Ace.
