Expressing his delight at the launch of Aria Pure LX crossover in the country, Ranjit Yadav, President, Passenger Car Business Unit, Tata Motors, was quoted as saying, “The Aria is already well received in its class for its comfort and versatility, refinement, safety, styling and a powerful yet fuel efficient engine. The new Aria Pure LX, with an unbeatable price, makes the proposition of the Aria’s finesse of a sedan with the muscle of an SUV, even more attractive.”

Coming to under-the-hood specifications, the freshly launched Aria Pure LX comes assimilated with a 2.2 litre Dicor diesel power-mill, which churns out an enticing power and torque equation of 139 bhp and 320 Nm, respectively. The motor is compliant with BS-IV emission restrictions and delivers a mesmerisingly powerful yet fuel efficient drive. The crossover’s astounding ground clearance of 200 mm coupled with a sturdy motor, makes it quite fun to drive on bumpy terrains and other demanding surfaces. Remarkably, Aria Pure LX has an unbelievable turning radius of 5.6 m, which enables its driver to swiftly manoeuvre through the busy and chaotic city traffic.

At present, the company is on a seesaw battle with Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M) for the third best seller of four-wheelers in the domestic market, behind chart topper Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai. Evidently, the company is leaving no stone unturned towards luring the Indian car enthusiasts towards its retail outlets by launching new products regularly in the car market. So far this year, Tata Motors has introduced its Xenon pickup truck, Indica eV2 hatchback, Indigo e-CS VX entry-level sedan, Manza Club Class mid-level sedan, Safari Storme SUV and Aria 4x4 crossover in the Indian passenger vehicle market.

The Tata Aria Pure LX is a pure crossover and is an aesthetic amalgamation between a luxury saloon and a powerful off-roading capable Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV). The vehicle can comfortably seat seven people and comes with an option of foldable second and third row seats that can provide extra space as and when required. At present, Tata Aria competes against Mahindra XUV500 premium SUV in the Indian market. Both the vehicles represent different segment and cater to different clientele, but pose stiff rivalry to each other in terms of pricing. It is going to be interesting to see how the local audience reacts to Tata Motors new offering- Aria Pure LX crossover, which surely looks like an enticing vehicle.
