The Ciaz sedan sold by Maruti Suzuki in India has been performing well in terms of sales in India. This time around the Japanese automaker Suzuki has launched the four door Ciaz sedan in the South African market. The factor that has caught fancy for many car buyers in South Africa is due to the fact that Suzuki promotes the car stating that “"easily accommodates five adults" and the boot can swallow impressive 495 litres.

The new Suzuki Ciaz in South Africa is powered by 1.4-Liter K14B four-cylinder engine that is capable of generating about 70kW at 6000rpm and 130Nm at 4000rpm. As for safety the vehicle gets features like ABS, EBD, dual front airbags, emergency braking assistance, childproof rear door locks and an integrated alarm/immobiliser.

Speaking more on the occasion, Yukio Sato, Managing Director of Suzuki Auto SA, said, “The advent of the new Suzuki Ciaz represents the next step in our strategy to increase the Suzuki brand's market share in South Africa by expanding our model offering.” Adding further he said, “We have already achieved record sales by adding newcomers such as the Swift 1.2, the Ertiga and the Splash to our model line-up, while the new-generation SX4 and the recently released Celerio are proof of our commitment to bringing Suzuki's latest models to SA.”
